Clippers, Strippers, and....Kurt Thomas?

Over the weekend I had the chance to attend a playoff NBA game(Clippers/Suns game 3) and a mixed martial arts match featuring the first sanctioned women’s fight in California. The fight went the distance and was surprisingly entertaining. The organizers had strippers parading around as ring girls and they danced during intermissions(fully clothed, well not fully but clothed). I would imagine that would make it a bitter-sweet night for all the feminist in attendance who came to see woman fighters finally achieve equality. There were a few more fights but not as entertaining as the chick fight.

The Clipper game was great. The crowd was loud and it came down to a last second Radmonovic missed three that would have sent it into overtime. Dunleavy left Livingston in the game for a majority of the fourth quarter for defense and when he needed a big shot he put in Cassell who put up an air-ball. Amare Stoudamire was great to watch. He didn’t play, but he danced around doing the Tony Yayo you can’t see me face thing for the entire halftime shoot around. The weirdest part of the night came a half hour after the game down at the Staples Center gift shop. Fans had gathered to purchase jerseys and Sam Cassell giant head t-shirts when Kurt Thomas showed up. He didn’t actually come in, he just stood in the doorway looking at all the people. When everyone noticed a fan yelled, "Boo Kurt Thomas, Boo Suns!". Everyone laughed but Kurt just stood there and after a while he started making the hand talking sign and shaking his head while staring at the guy. This went on for a few minutes. He just stood there, in the Clippers gift shop, looking at the clipper fans. It was weird. Oh, and Kurt Thomas is an asshole.

I hope they learned a valuable lesson about women's fighting.

When it comes to women's sports, the majority of men will only get interested if hot women are somehow involved.

It's not chauvenistic, it's just the way we men are wired.
